This is my setup for painting on the water at Springwater . The 8x 10 in. red maple study became the reference for the 18x 24 red maple painting and in that same spirit I am painting small 8x 10 in. plein air paintings of a great oak tree at the back end of the pond to try and paint a larger version in the studio but not until this beautiful weather stops.
